IANAS will hold its III Conference and General Assembly in Ottawa, Canada, on August 26-28, 2010. Hosted by the Royal Society of Canada, the meeting will represent a good opportunity for the IANAS member Academies to discuss the actions of IANAS and the role of the Academies in the past three years.

The objective of the Conference, which will take place on August 26, is to address the scientific aspects related to the IANAS Programmes for Science Education and Water, as well as the Initiatives on Energy and Women for Science that have been undertaken by IANAS.

During the IANAS General Assembly, to be held on August 27 and 28, member Academies will share their achievements over the last three years as well as contemporary priorities and challenges. The IANAS General Assembly will also discuss the new statutes and hold the elections for the new Executive Committee Board and the new Co-chairs, defining the future steps of the organization.
