C- Election of the New Vice-Coordinator

Dr. Norma Nudelman from Argentina was elected by unanimous decision.

D- Venue of the 4th Focal Point Meeting

The President of the Mexican Academy of Sciences, Dr. Juan Pedro Laclette, sent a letter proposing Mexico as the host country for the 2007 Focal Point Meeting of the IANAS Science Education Program.
The nomination was unanimously accepted.

E- 2006 Pending Activities

The 2006 pending activities described in the Report of the Coordinator (Annex 1) will be administered from the office of the Past-Coordinator. To request the funds, the organizer of those activities should send details of those planned activities.

F- Fund Raising

1- The organization of American States – Inter American Council of Education

The decision was taken to reformulate the previous presentation taking into account the remarks issued by the reviewers. Deadline is October 26th, 2006. This requires that the Focal Points that are organizing activities in 2007 provide more details about these activities.

2- FEMCIDI

The decision on the selection of the pre-project that was presented is expected to be taken January 2007

G- Conclusions of the Meeting

Dr. José Lozano from Colombia was confirmed as new Coordinator. He said he expected the cooperation of all the Focal Points and specially of the Past Coordinator and the new Vice-Coordinator.
